Another Miller’s Design Market Holiday Collection feature is coming your way. Today’s spotlight is on Jamie Schultz. You may be familiar with her templates but how well do you know the lady behind the designs? Let’s see what gets this talented designer in the holiday spirit.

What’s your favorite holiday food?

The holidays wouldn’t be the same without my dad’s homemade lefse (a Norwegian tradition)!

What’s your most treasured memory from this time of year?

Coming home from church on Christmas Eve to find the pajamas Santa’s elves left on our beds.

What projects, either professional or personal, do you enjoy tackling during the holidays?

My family does something called the “Giving Jar” every December as a way to countdown the days until Christmas. Every morning we choose a “giving task” that we complete before the end of the day. The tasks include taking food to a homeless shelter, delivering games to a group home, and writing a thank you note to a soldier, just to name a few. The kids have talked more about this project than any gift they’ve ever unwrapped on Christmas day. It’s a tradition I plan to continue for many years to come. You can see a video I created of our efforts last year here.

If you went out caroling, what songs would you sing?

Oh, dear me…nobody wants to hear me sing!!

Do you have any family traditions during the holidays that you just love?

I love putting up our Christmas tree. The boys love carefully unwrapping ornaments and picking just the right spot on the tree for their favorites.

What’s your favorite holiday movie?

It’s an oldie, but a goodie…Christmas in Connecticut

Jamie, we think your designs rock! Thanks for being a beloved template-creator in the Miller’s family and here’s to many more years of sharing the love.
