If you are new to the photography business, it is worth taking the time to study the best practices of those who have been there before you. When Kevin Jordan of Jordan Portrait Design was a newbie in to portraiture, he made it a point to study “the old guys” who had been around the industry for many years to learn about why and how they do things. Because, after all, they do what they do for a reason and a great deal of time, effort and learning went into their choices.
Kevin also learned a great deal from studying classic painters, such as Rembrandt and other “old masters,” to craft his technique. He then took the modern influence he picked up from his peers to create a business that motivates him every day.
Check out the below video to discover what other factors play a part in helping Kevin achieve success in his portrait photography business.
