We’re excited to announce our newest designer to Miller’s Design Market team! Meet Angie Sandy, founder of Photo Card Boutique. She just joined us and has already added three adorable bundles to the store, including a comprehensive marketing set for studios. Here’s a little more about Angie:
Tell us your story!
In 2009, I decided I needed to simplify my life and sold my web design business. This left me with no creative outlet. Can you even imagine? I had been thinking about starting a card site and actually purchased the domain name in 2008 but had no time to work on it. With my love of graphic design as the driving force, I set to work on Photo Card Boutique. I officially launched the site on September 1 in 2010. Phew, I can’t believe it has almost been a year!
How would you describe your design style?
I LOVE color and patterns! Every design I bring to the market is overflowing with unique color combinations and trendy patterns. Some of our templates are fairly simple, designed for the photographer with a clean style. Others are chock full of whimsical style and illustrations I draw myself in Illustrator. I want my templates to be both memorable and fun!
Where do you find inspiration?
Inspiration is everywhere! My children inspire and motivate me. Thumbing through magazines and shopping for clothes are great places to find new ideas. My absolute favorite place for inspiration is Pinterest.
What’s your favorite Miller’s product to design and why?
Oh, this is a tough one but my current favorite would have to be the Folded Luxe Cards. They are SO distinct and versatile. I love the fact that you can add so much to them…the only thing you can’t fit is the kitchen sink! Thank you Miller’s for always being on the cutting edge and bringing the newest, greatest products to the market!
When you’re not designing, you’re…
We lead a crazy but blessed life! I am a wife, mother of 3, laundry lady, personal chef and all American girl! As a family we raise a small herd of cattle and enjoy our 4-H lamb projects. Our summer morning and evenings are spent walking lambs in preparation for fair or washing and blowing out show steers. In my spare time I do my best to practice a budding love of photography and feed a hopeless Starbucks addiction.
