Tips and tricks on booking weddings in beautiful locations. Have fun traveling, interacting with clients around the world, and selling yourself as a destination photographer!

Let’s get to know this creative couple before your big date in Vegas!

Tell us a little bit about yourselves.

We are international wedding photographers based in St. George, Utah. We love traveling to new locations to meet new people and stay inspired by exciting locations. We are a great team because of our different approaches to photography: Kevin sees the big picture and notices contrasts of light and dark much more naturally than Katie, who has an eye for portraits and details. We stay positive and energized through other forms of art that drive us: Katie is a filmmaker, actor, graphic designer and literary student while Kevin is a drummer, writer, and president of the Southern Utah Photography Guild.

What’s your favorite Miller’s product?

We love Miller’s 2.5 inch Gallery Wraps! They’re always flawless, which we can confidently tell our clients. Also, Miller’s customer service – not really a product, but it’s true!

What do you love most about being a photographer?

Connecting with new people and maintaining those relationships well after the wedding. There aren’t many occupations that allow you to experience the full spectrum of emotion that is a wedding day.  Once our clients have cried, laughed and partied with us close by, they feel a connection to us that we feel right back.

What’s your favorite memory so far from WPPI?

When Miller’s took us out to dinner last year with the rest of the Speaker Team, we were floored by their kindness and generosity! We had a chance to put faces to the customer service voices that have always been so amazing and helpful. (And truly, I’m not sucking up, it’s just literally one of the best memories!).

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever seen or done in Vegas?

When we eloped and were married at the Little White Wedding Chapel back in 2003! It was 1:00 a.m. and we opted to NOT go through the drive-through, instead taking the classy route and got married inside in our t-shirts and jeans. People say it doesn’t work if you do it in Vegas, but we’re going on 10 years!

Learn more about Kevin and Katie and preview their work here. See you in Vegas!
